Description : A hike to discover the forest, the palm grove and the savannah, the Casamance river and the traditional villages of Mlomp and Oussouye.
D1 : OUSSOUYE – MLOMP – PTE ST GEORGES- 12 TO 15 KM – 40 MN PIROGUE
Departure from Oussouye by bush paths to reach the village of Mlomp.
Lunch then visit the huts and the museum and different districts before leaving by pirogue for the Pointe St Georges. Depending on the day, observation of dolphins and lamentines. Dinner and night in a camp on the river bank.
D-2 : PTE ST GEORGES – MLOMP – OUSSOUYE- 16 KM Trek
In the morning hike (approx 3 hrs) on the paths of the rice field and the savannah, passage on the traditional bridges before arriving at Mlomp. Return to Oussouye by taxi and lunch.
Afternoon hike: Visit of 6 villages united by animist traditions and geography. Visit of fetishes, traditional huts, cashew nut processing units.
Note: Possibility on reservation and with supplement to go up on the platform of Kanoufa in top of a Kapoktree. 360° view on the river and the savannah. On the way back you can meet the king of Oussouye if he is available and you are interested,
Highlights : les ponts traditionnels sur le bolong , les cases à étages, la nuit au bord du fleuve.
