Description: Trekking to discover the multiple facets of the region, landscapes of palm groves, mangrove and savannah, colonial vestiges of Karabane
D1:OUSSOUYE MLOMP PTE ST GEORGES – 16 KM
By the tracks of bush bordered of cashew tree, we arrive in the village of Mlomp. Visit of the village (huts floor and colonnades). Lunch on the spot. We continue through the rice fields to arrive at Djiramete where we board a pirogue which drops us off at the Pointe St Georges. Visit of the village and, depending on the day, observations of manatees and dolphins. Dinner and night in camp.
Note: On reservation and with supplement possibility to go up on the platform of Kanoufa, located at 25 m on top of a cheese tree and offering a 360 ° view on the Casamance river and the bush.
D2: PTE ST GEORGES – MLOMP KARABANE -12 KM
By the tracks of the savannah and crossing traditional bridges we reach Mlomp where a vehicle transfers us to Elinkine. Meal on the spot and visit of the village then crossing by pirogue to Karabane. Visit and swimming. Dinner and overnight in Karabane.
D3: KARABANE – DJIFANGUENE – ELINKINE OUSSOUYE – 17 KM
In the morning we cross the island by the northern zone (about 8 km), then a pirogue picks us up and drops us off at Elinkine and we return by taxi to Oussouye. We have lunch. Afternoon trek in the heart of the 6 villages of the Oulouf kingdom
Highlights : The huts made of banco, Karabane and its vestiges, Pointte St Georges and the river, the traditional bridges.
