Description : A lovely 2 days getaway to discover the villages around Oussouye and the bolongs by kayak
Day 1 – OUSSOUYE – EGUEYE
In the morning, a hike through the heart of the six villages that make up the Oulouf kingdom. Discover a fetish square and a cashew processing unit, followed by lunch in Oussouye.
In the afternoon, we cross the rice fields to reach the village of Oukout (fetish square), then enter the palm groves to walk in the shade along small paths leading to Diantène. We continue via a shallow crossing to reach Egueye Island. Dinner and overnight at the ecolodge.
Day 2 – KAYAK – EYUN
In the morning, enjoy a kayak trip to explore the mangrove and its ecosystem. Observe numerous birds and possibly meet local fishermen or mangrove oyster harvesters. Return to the ecolodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, a 15-minute canoe crossing followed by a vehicle transfer (approx. 20 min) takes us to the starting point of our hike to visit the village of Siganar, with its fetishes, palaver trees, and traditional houses. Return to Oussouye, crossing the vast rice fields.
