Description: A discovery day at the Cap Skirring fishing quay, including an easy short hike, followed by an afternoon canoe trip to explore the islands.
Departure from the hotel by taxi to the Cap Skirring fishing quay. There you will discover hundreds of colorful pirogues and fishermen coming from all over. We then continue by taxi to Boucotte. A walk through the village and the rice fields leads us to Bouyouye, a traditional village known for its giant kapok trees and sacred fetishes.
Departure by pirogue to explore the mangrove channels (bolongs), arriving at Wendaye Island for lunch by the water’s edge.
A short walk across the island (including a visit to a honey farm) before meeting our pirogue again and returning to Bouyouye. Transfer by taxi back to the hotel.
Highlights : The hundreds of colorful pirogues, the giant kapok trees of the village of Wendaye, the mangrove, and the islands explored by pirogue.
